Home of Ole Elmer and Serge Roetheli´s project to row 2.550 nautical miles across the Atlantic Ocean in the 2011 Atlantic Allum Cup. The team started the crossing on Wednesday February the 2nd 2011, from San Sebastian, La Gomera.
The team met in USA in 1997. Ole Elmer was on one of his many biketrips and on his way he met Serge Roetheli who was completing his running around the world - a project that lasted five years. The roads are now replaced with the Atlantic currents westward...
The Amigo campaign is an extension of The Boogie Woogie Campaign in 2010 where Ole Elmer and Brian Heron crossed the Atlantic Ocean. The two boats will in December 2011 complete The Amigo Campaign with the participation of both boats in the Atlantic Rowing Race. Once again Ole Elmer will participate, making him a member of a small exclusive club who have crossed the Atlantic three times.
They did it! Ole and Serge finished a succesful crossing Tuesday April 5th at 18:02 UTC after spending 62 days 5 hours and 42 minutes on the Atlantic Ocean
